COOKIE AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES POLICY

Updated November 20, 2025

This English version is provided for convenience only. The legally binding instrument is the Portuguese version, available at /cookies. In case of any divergence, the Portuguese version prevails.

This Cookie Policy complements the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use of the Sapiens Sintéticos ecosystem, maintained by PbrasilDAO and the developer Borderless.

The purpose of this document is to transparently explain how we use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies to provide, protect and improve our services and interactive experiments.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?

  • 1.1. Cookies:Small text files sent by our server to your browser and stored on your device. They serve to "remember" you and your preferences.
  • 1.2. Local Storage and Session Storage:Modern technologies for storing data directly in the user's browser, often used by our applications ("Single Page Applications") to save the state of interactive tools, AI conversation history and interface settings, without constantly sending this data to the server.
  • 1.3. Pixels/Tags: Code snippets installed on the site that allow tracking user actions for conversion analysis or advertising purposes.

2. WHY DO WE USE THESE TECHNOLOGIES?

We use cookies and local storage to:

  • a) Authentication: Keep you signed in to member areas or courses;
  • b) Security: Detect suspicious activity and prevent fraudulent attacks;
  • c) Maker Experience: Save the progress of your experiments, code or AI interactions so they are not lost when reloading the page;
  • d) Analytics: Understand how the site is used (most visited pages, time on page) to improve the content.

3. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES USED

  • 3.1. Strictly Necessary (Essential): These are fundamental for the PLATFORM to work. Without them, services like login, course checkout or access to secure areas do not function.
    • Example: authentication session cookies, security tokens (CSRF), cookie consent preferences.
    • Can it be disabled? No. If you force-block it via the browser, the site will break.
  • 3.2. Performance and Analytics: Collect anonymous information about how users interact with the PLATFORM. We use this data to improve technical performance and usability.
    • Tools: Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics.
    • Data: pages visited, load times, error messages, traffic source.
  • 3.3. Functional (Interactivity and AI): Allow the PLATFORM to remember choices you made (such as your username, language, dark/light theme) and personalize the experience.
    • Sapiens Sintéticos context: storage of recent prompts, AI chat history or maker tool settings in your browser's Local Storage.
  • 3.4. Advertising and Marketing (Optional): May be used to deliver ads relevant to your interests or measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns for our courses and products.
    • Tools: Meta pixels (Facebook/Instagram), Pinterest Tag, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insights.

4. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

Some PLATFORM features depend on external services. When using these features, cookies from those third parties may be installed on your device. We have no strict control over these cookies.

  • Infrastructure: Vercel (hosting and analytics).
  • Payments: Stripe or PayPal (during course checkout).
  • Media: YouTube or Vimeo (embedded videos).
  • AI: APIs that may use session storage for conversation continuity.

5. MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL (YOUR RIGHTS)

  • 5.1. Consent Banner: When accessing the PLATFORM for the first time, a banner will request your agreement with the use of non-essential cookies.
  • 5.2. Browser Settings: You can, at any time, configure your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when sites set or access cookies.
    • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies.
    • Safari: Preferences > Privacy.
    • Firefox: Options > Privacy and security.

Attention: By blocking strictly necessary cookies, parts of our site (especially member areas and interactive tools) may become inaccessible or malfunction.

6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update our Cookie Policy periodically to reflect, for example, changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Check this page regularly to stay informed.
